S.Leader Stresses Respect For Iran’s Red-lines In N-talks

Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Wednesday that during the upcoming nuclear talks in Geneva, Iran’s red-lines should be respected. Addressing a gathering of 50,000 Basij (Volunteer) commanders in Tehran’s Grand Prayers site on the eve of the national Basij Week, Ayatollah Khamenei said he insists on “stabilizing Iranians rights including their nuclear rights.” “We do not interfere in the details of the talks but there are red-lines that they are obliged to respect it.” The Supreme Leader reiterated his support for the government of President Hassan Rouhani. We had weaknesses in our economic decision making and those weaknesses made enemies feel that they could penetrate, the Supreme Leader said elsewhere in his speech. “Sanctions and other similar acts give us a chance to find out the weaknesses and remove them,” Ayatollah Khamenei said. Noting that Iranians respect all nations of the world, the Supreme Leader stressed, “However, we will give a crushing response to those who act against us.” /end
