S.Leader Wants Iran’s Rights To Be Respected: Religious Leader

Islamabad, Nov 23, IRNA – A Pakistani religious leader on Friday said that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wants Iranian negotiators not to back down from their nuclear rights in talks with western powers. Talking to IRNA Allama Shafqat Shirazi Secretary Political Affairs of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) said that western powers must respect Iran’s nuclear right. Addressing a gathering of 50,000 Basij (Volunteer) commanders in Tehran’s Grand Prayers site on the eve of the national Basij Week Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Iran will not back down an iota from its rights, including its nuclear rights, and will never give in to pressure. Allama Shafqat Shirazi said that Supreme Leader during his speech has unveiled many new facts about the policies of the United States. The religious Leader expressing his views said that the Supreme Leader has told Iranian team of negotiators to remain vigilant against western conspiracies. “But the Supreme Leader has backed the talks because Iran is a peaceful nation and is ready to solve all issues with west through dialogue,” said the MWM leader. Allama Shafqat Shirazi went on to say that Iranian negotiators are the custodians of Iranian rights in talks with western powers. He added that US is pursuing imperialistic approach and that needs to be changed. He added that Supreme Leader has rightly said that sanctions are ineffective and have made Iran more powerful. “Iran has become a world power which proves that sanctions are ineffective against the Islamic Republic,” he noted. The religious leader praised the steadfastness and wisdom of Iranian leaders which have failed all western conspiracies against Iran. The MWM leader said that the Supreme Leader in his speech also spoke for the rights of the whole Muslim world because he is the true leader of the Muslim Ummah. He added that western states must recognize Iran’s peaceful nuclear right. Allama Shafqat Shirazi strongly believed that those countries which are towing the American policies are going nowhere. “Americans cannot tolerate independent states in the world and this is their main problem with Iran,” he viewed. “Iran has achieved the status of respectable nation because the country has refused to yield to any western pressure,” he said. He added that the Supreme Leader has rightly said that US and its allies are behind the unrest in the Muslim world. “They have ruined Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and many Muslim countries just to pursue their aggressive policies,” opined the MWM leader. “Look what they (Americans) are doing in Pakistan they are carrying out drone strikes which are sheer violation of our sovereignty,” he said. Allama Shafqat Shirazi said that Muslims have to come out of American influence to be successful in the world. “Iran is a role model for all Muslim countries that has refused to bow down to any western pressure,” he said./end
