S.Leader's Sr. Advisor Arrives In Turkey

Ankara, Aug 28, IRNA – Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri, a senior advisor to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei heading a delegation arrived in Ankara on Tuesday. Ayatollah Taskhiri has traveled to Turkey at the invitation of the head of Turkey's Diyanat Organization (T.C.Diyanet i?leri Ba?kanli?i) to attend a conference of religious scholars from Iran and Turkey. Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought who is accompanying Ayatollah Taskhiri during his visit to Turkey told IRNA upon arrival in Ankara that the visit will focus on expansion of cultural and religious cooperation and helping resolve Muslim world issues. He urged Iran and Turkey to work together to find a way to put an end to ongoing regional crises, particularly those in Syria, Iraq and Egypt. The first step to be taken to resolve regional crises is to prevent foreign intervention in the region, he noted. He warned against enemies plots to divide Muslim nations, saying: They are only seeking to protect the interests of hegemonic powers and the Zionist regime./end
