Slovenia Speaker Calls His Recent Tehran Visit, Constructive

Ljubljana, June 17, IRNA - Slovenian Parliament Speaker Janko Veber on Monday called his recent visit to Tehran as constructive, adding that Ljubljana is ready to enhance all-out ties with Tehran. He made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranˈs Ambassador to Ljubljana Morteza Darzi Ramandi. The two officials exchanged views on latest international developments and called for promotion of mutual relations in all fields. Ramandi had also a meeting with Mayor of the City of Ljubljana Zoran Janković. Weber, at the head of a high-ranking political, economic, trade and parliamentary delegation visited Tehran in May, 2014. The economic delegation accompanying Weber during his three-day visit to Iran, comprised the representatives of Slovenian companies involved in energy, banking, electricity, telecommunications and agriculture sectors. Iran and Slovenia have expanded bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in different fields in recent years. Earlier this month, Slovenian President Borut Pahor in a meeting with Darzi Ramandi announced that the two countries have decided to open a new chapter in their bilateral relations and mutual cooperation./end
