Somali Delegation Visits Iran Red Crescent Society

Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA – A parliamentary delegation from Somalia has visited the Iranian Red Crescent Society, it is reported on Thursday. The delegation is currently in Iran to discuss issues of mutual interest with Iranian officials. In its meeting with the RCS officials, the six-member delegation hailed Tehran's humanitarian aid to Somalia in 2011 and mid-2012 while the country was hit by drought. The Somali MPs also called on Iranian officials to continue their aid for the African country. They said Somalia needed further medical and pharmaceutical aid./end
