Spain's Govt Felicitates President Rohani On N-deal

Madrid, Nov 25, IRNA – Spanish government, in a statement on Sunday, welcomed agreement on Iran's nuclear program and felicitated President Hassan Rohani on his commitment and bravery to achieve the agreement. In the Spanish Foreign Ministry statement, the role of EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton in achieving the agreement between Iran and world powers has been described as prominent. The statement called nuclear agreement on Sunday morning in Geneva as an important progress in ties between international community with Iran which will strengthen stability and security in the region. Trade relations volume between Iran and Spain before oil sanctions was more than four billion dollars annually, but by imposing sanction since last July, it decreased considerably and reached under half billion dollars in current year. The Spanish officials hope that with the cancellation of sanctions, the country can increase its economic ties with Iran. Informed sources in Madrid told IRNA that the Spanish oil companies were waiting for an agreement between Iran and Group 5+1 and preparing ground for their presence in Iran's oil market./end
