Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the State Great Khural M.Enkhbold received Thursday Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan, at the State House. Congratulating the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan on winning the regular elections of the House of Representatives, the Speaker said it means that the policy by Shinzo Abe is highly appreciated by Japanese people. He also extended condolences over deaths of JICA officials in a terrorist attack in Dhaka of Bangladesh, saying that Mongolia always condemns any types of terrorist actions and will take a stand against it together with Japan and the international community. Expressing the satisfaction with meeting with the Mongolian Speaker, the Japanese Premier assured he will strive to boost the bilateral relations and cooperation. He said this is his third visit to Mongolia, and it has a great significance for broadening the bilateral relations. “The 45th anniversary of our diplomatic relations will be marked next year. I am confident our countries will enhance the ties further,” he said. M.Enkhbold said developing the friendly relations and cooperation with Japan is one of the priorities of the Mongolian foreign policy, and pointed out that this policy will not change when a new cabinet formed as a result of the parliamentary elections comes to office. The Mongolian government will continue strengthening the Mongolia-Japan strategic partnership relations, he added. The Speaker said Mongolia wants to closely collaborate with Japan in implementing the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) while believing that this document will steadily augment the trade turnover and investments. Mentioning that the middle-term program of the strategic partnership is being implemented at 90 per cent so far, the Speaker expressed willingness to reflect in a new middle-term program issues of realizing joint mega-project on railways, coal, chemical industry and creating an industrial cluster. Shinzo Abe reaffirmed that Japan wants to expand the bilateral ties, and expressed his satisfaction with the EPA establishment which came into force recently.
