SPEAKER RECEIVES MCC DELEGATES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold received May 26 a delegation from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) headed by its president Ms Dana Hyde. On behalf of parliament he thanked the MCC for its decision, made late December of 2014, to choose Mongolia as the country eligible for inking the second compact agreement with the MCC. He underlined that the realization of the first compact resulted in much yield, "for example, in roads construction, creation of professional training centers, and in the UB city air pollution reduction". "It became a step to upgrade relations between Mongolia and the USA, adding to them more economic meaning," he said and expressed a belief that the second compact will be of high significance in Mongolia’s economic growth and in eliminating an economic dependency. "The second compact will differ from the previous one in terms of content, scope and financing, as I was told, so I would like to share with you my views on this matter," he added.
