SPEAKER RECEIVES RUSSIAN FEDERAL ASSEMBLY DELEGATES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold received Monday delegation of the Federation Council at the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation Committee on Economic Policy S.V.Kalashnikov, who are on visit to attend a forum 'Mongolian and Russian cooperation-2017' in Ulaanbaatar. Speaker M.Enkhbold highlighted that the Mongolia-Russia relations and cooperation are developing at strategic partnership level and Mongolia prioritizes this friendly relations in its foreign policy. He also expressed his satisfaction on the cooperation between the legislative bodies and noted the importance of improving the legal environment for expanding trade and economic cooperation. “The two legislative bodies of the two countries should work in this regard and endeavor to resolve pressing problems in some fields, such as customs, taxes, and transportation. Widening cross-border and inter-organizational cooperations as well as resolving occurred problems immediately would be important lever for the intensification of the relations," said M.Enkhbold. S.V.Kalashnikov underlined that the parliamentary groups of the two countries are playing vital role in the inter-parliamentary cooperation. He remarked his agreement on importance of the cross-border cooperation, and said, “Cross-border cooperation, covering some 60 provinces and cities in border areas of the two countries makes up 70 per cent of the total bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Therefore we should pay attention to make it more effective. In the framework of the intergovernmental commission, a regional sub-commission works and one of our tasks is to supervise and support the activities of the commission,” B.Ooluun
