SPEAKER VISITS S.KOREAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker of Mongolia Z.Enkhbold Friday visited the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). After thanking the Speaker for the visit, the KIST authority noted that the institute has been cooperating with Mongolia since 2002. Establishment in 1966, the KIST has contributed significantly to the economic development of the country, particularly during the years of accelerated growth, by establishing advanced research and development supporting infrastructure in S.Korea, they noted. Mr Enkhbold said scientific cooperation between the countries is important and that high officials have been exploring possibilities to build up a joint Science Education Center of Mongolia and S.Korea--an idea that, he believes, will receive support. He wished the academicians a great success in their efforts to boost knowledge-based economy and to contribute to building of national wealth.
