Speakers Call On Ummah To Unite

Islamabad, Nov 12, IRNA – Speakers at an international Islamic Solidarity Conference on Sunday stressed the need of forging unity among Ummah to frustrate the designs of anti-Islam forces. The two day ‘International Ittehad-e-Ummat’ conference (International Muslim Unity Conference) kicked off here at the Convention Center. Ayatollah Mohsin Araki, Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought expressing his views said that an international association for proximity of Muslims must be established to face the challenges of Ummah. He praised the efforts of Qazi Hussain Ahmad, chief of Milli Yekjehti Council for organizing the conference. “Such conferences bring Muslims close to each other,” he said. He expressed the hope that soon Muslims would resolve their disputes and emerge as Ummah having same approach. Representative of Turkish Saadat Party Azhan Aseeb Turk expressing his views said that Islam is not only a religion but a complete code of life. He regretted that the United Nations (UN) has become subordinate organization to Zionists. He was confident that Muslims would be able to frustrate the designs of West against Ummah. He termed the issue of Syria as very important issue for Muslims. He said that Syrians must find out a solution to restore peace to the country and must not invite Nato over there. Qazi Hussain Ahmad, chief of Milli Yekjehti Council said that all schools of thought of Muslims have commonality of views on principles of Islam. “We share same values,” he added. The religious leader warned that enemies of Muslims are united and hatching conspiracies to divide Ummah. He stressed the need for forging unity among Muslim Ummah. Former Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai said that all Muslims are one entity. “US is not super power but Islam is the real super power,” he added. The Afghan leader went on to say that Muslim must unite to divide US. “Americans are the actual terrorists,” he went on to say. He said that those Afghans who were trained by Americans are now killing their own teachers. He said that nowadays there is no unity of Muslim Ummah. Allama Amin Shaheedi Deputy Secretary General of Majlis-e-Wahdat -e-Muslimeen (MWM) said the Milli Yekjehti Council is a struggle of Muslims against the hegemony of imperialists. He said that non-Muslims are united against Islam. The MWM leader said that Muslims have to shun their differences and unite against a common enemy. Chief of Shia Ulema Council Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that there is a need to promote sectarian harmony to counter the conspiracies against Pakistan. “We have to respect all school of thoughts,” he said. He called for implementation of Islamic system in Pakistan. He added that there is absolutely no Shia-Sunni violence in Pakistan. Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed said that Muslims have to leave their differences to unite against America. “Time has gone for Shia-Sunni violence,” he said. Jamiat Ulema Islam-F, Senator Dr. Khalid Soomro said that US is behind unrest in the world. He said that there is need to unite all Muslims. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Prof Mohammad Ibraheem Khan said that Muslims are blessed with a complete system in the shape of Quran. “Muslims have to unite against West,” said the religious leader./end
