Spokesman : Iran Has Always Stressed On Peaceful Use Of N-energy

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Araqchi, reacting to the recent statement of French foreign minister concerning Iran’s nuclear program, said that Iran’s policy in using peaceful nuclear energy is upon Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Saturday afternoon, Araqchi, by referring to the close cooperation between Iran and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) upon NPT regulations and Safeguard Agreement, said that Iran’s nuclear activities are completely peaceful and transparent and all Iran’s nuclear installations and activities are under IAEAs supervision. He also rejected any outside interference in Syrian domestic affairs, which has led to escalation of violent conflicts and people massacre. He added that Syrian crisis should be settled only through Syrian-Syrian negotiation and by responding to its peoples demands in a democratic method. Araqchi condemned use of chemical weapons by the terrorist groups in Syria and called for reaction of France and other western countries to condemn the crime and prevention of delivering money and weapons to the terrorist groups./end
