Spokesman Says Unaware Of Decision To Hand Over Nuclear Case To FM

Tehran, Aug 21 IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman, Abbass Araqchi, said on Tuesday that he was unaware of the decision to hand over nuclear case to Foreign Ministry. Asked about news report that President Hassan Rohani has decided to hand over nuclear case to Foreign Ministry from the Supreme National Security Council, Araqchi told IRNA on Tuesday that no decision has been made in that connection. So far, Iranian nuclear program was under administration of secretariat of Supreme National Security Council in light of the security concerns Iran has about Israeli stockpiling nuclear warheads and the threats it posed to the Middle East. The Israeli procrastination to declare the warheads rather than make Iranian civilian nuclear program a pretext to cover up its clandestine nuclear activities has brought the Middle East on the edge of a precipice. Preserving rights of Iranian nation and safeguarding nuclear achievements are of our principles. However, new methods and approaches can be used in the talks. If Foreign Ministry undertakes handling the nuclear dispute, it would use qualified people for the job./end
