Sr. Cleric Calls Daesh Crimes Most Catastrophic

Bushehr, Aug 11, IRNA - Ayatollah Hashem Hosseini Bushehri, a senior Iranian cleric, on Monday called the crimes committed by the Islamic State (also known as Daesh) in Iraq and Syria ˈmost catastrophicˈ. Addressing a gathering of people in the southern province of Bushehr, he noted that what Daesh is doing is a clear violation of human rights. He called lack of leadership as the main cause of defeat of the Islamic Awakening Movement in some Muslim countries including Egypt. Bushehri urged Muslims to be united against enemiesˈ divisive plots. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted in her book titled ˈMemoir Hard Choicesˈ that the United States had a role in creation of Daesh. Daesh in its self-proclaimed status as an Islamic caliphate claims religious authority over all Muslims across the world and aspires to bring much of the Muslim-inhabited regions under its direct political control. The group has been officially designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United Nations Security Council./end
