S.SUKHBOLD ATTENDS UNGA'S THIRD COMMITTEE MEETING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations and Ambassador S.Sukhbold delivered a speech at a plenary meeting of the 3rd Committee of the UN General Assembly on Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs at its 72nd session, on October 2. He introduced the Governmental policy and actions on social development. At the plenary meeting, representatives of countries exchanged views on a current state of global social development, achievements and challenges to them as well as ways to overcome it. They affirmed that it is vital to realize final documents issued by the World Summit for Social Development, the 24th Session of UNGA and social development goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development for tackling social development issues, such as, reducing poverty rate, ensuring equal social rights, supporting youths’ development and protecting right of elders, people with disabilities.
