STANDING COMMITTEES SHARE OPINIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ G.Bayarsaikhan MP and chairman of Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture received Wednesday Mr M.V.Slipenchuk, a member of State Duma of Russian Federation. G.Bayarsaikhan thanked Mr Sllipenchuk for visiting Mongolia and then shared with him opinions on two Standing committees' operations and cooperation in building a joint wood-processing factory. The parties consider the latter is of high importance for Mongolia in preserving and improving its forest reserves, as the country imports great amount of wood and heavy logs from Russia. A matter on protection of cross-border rivers' was also discussed during the meeting.
