Strong Ties With Iran, To Benefit West: Lawmaker

Islamabad, Feb 25, IRNA – A Pakistani lawmaker on Tuesday said that strong relationship with Iran will benefit western world and would help boost European economies. Talking to IRNA, Senator Saeed Ghani of Pakistan Peopleˈs Party Parliamentarian (PPP-P) said that Iran is a peace loving country and wants to have good relations with all world states. “We appreciate that the relationship between Iran and European states is improving,” he said. He said the Iranian leadership has wisely signed the nuclear deal with the West. The senator viewed that Iran has proved that it is a peaceful country and has no intention of developing nuclear weapons. “We in Pakistan have always appreciated policies of the Iranian government,” said the politician. “It is good to see that western world at last has accepted Iran’s enrichment right,” he said, adding that western countries have realized that good relationship with Iran is in their interest and would strengthen their economies. Ghani reiterated that the anti-Iran sanctions are unjustified and must be lifted. He added that the West has always pursued the policy of coercion towards Iran which is failed. He added that the Iranians have constantly expressed their determination to continue their peaceful nuclear policy and would not bow down to western pressures. “The steadfastness of the Iranian nation and government is the reason for signing the nuclear deal reached between Iran and 5+1,” he noted.
