Successful Launch of Satellite Hailed by Provincial and City Rallies

Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Army-people rallies took place in South Phyongan, Jagang and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho City on Wednesday to hail the successful launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4. Present at the rallies were officials of local party and power bodies and working people's organizations, factories, enterprises, farms and universities, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, people from all walks of life and youths and students. A report of the National Aerospace Development Administration of the DPRK was read out to be followed by congratulatory speeches at the rallies. Speakers said that having put the satellite of Juche on its orbit is the highest tribute the Workers' Party of Korea and people paid to leader Kim Jong Il and a proud victory won in the general advance to glorify the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea as the one of victors and glory. The U.S. imperialists and their followers are kicking up a provocative racket, taking issue with the DPRK's successful launch of Kwangmyongsong-4, but satellites of Juche will be launched into the sky above the country in the future, too, they said. -0-
