Suspect In Beirut Iran Embassy Explosion Arrested

Beirut, Dec 29, IRNA – Information Bureau of Lebanese Army, South Division, announced Saturday that a Takfiri suspect of the November 19 terrorist explosion in front of the Islamic Republic of Iran embassy in Beirut was arrested. The suspect who was arrested in Beirut, identified as ‘Mustafa H.’ is one of the supporters of the Takfiri Sheikh Ahmad al-Asir, and the suspicion is due to his contacts with the agents involved in the terrorist explosion in question. According to the IRNA correspondent in Beirut, the spiritual mentor of the arrested Takfiri terrorists, Sheikh Asir, too, is presently a fugitive at large and an arrest warrant has been issued against him by the Lebanese judiciary officials. Mustafa H. is also seen in a photograph taken of one of the terrorists involved in the twin bombings in front of the Iranian embassy in Beirut. Recently, a fourteen minute video message recorded of Serajuddin Zariqat, the head of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades terrorist group that had initially accepted responsibility for the blasts, posted on the group’s Twitter page he once again repeated his threats against both the Islamic Republic and the Lebanese Hezbollah and the entire anti-Zionist Islamic resistance front. Zariqat has in the massage also accepted the responsibility for the recent assassination of a Hezbollah commander, martyr Hissan al-Laqis, while defending the Zionist regime and claiming that the Tel Aviv regime has not committed the terrorist act. While the Takfiri sheikh speaks, images of two suicidal terrorists, Abu Uwais al-Saidawi, alias Mo’in Abu Zahr and Abusofyan al-Shami, alias Adnan al-Muhammad along with a number of other terrorists are shown for a while. Those two suicidal terrorists were the Takfiri agents who ignited the twin bombs in front of the Iranian embassy in Beirut and got killed on the spot. On November 19, twin explosions occurred around Irans embassy in Beirut, killing more than 2 dozen people and injuring some 150 others. Iranian cultural attaché was also among the dead. Abdullah Azzam Brigades Qaeda-linked group has claimed responsibility for the twin bombings and vows to launch yet more similar attacks. Two days after the explosions, Vice-Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mansour Haqiqatpour accused the Israelis, Saudis and French of having been involved in the deadly Beirut blasts. The MP said that the dirty hands of the Zionists, the Salafist and Wahhabi mercenaries affiliated to the Saudi royal court and the notorious French politicians are clearly evident in those terrorist explosions. And Irans parliament speaker blamed the attack on the US and the Zionist regime of Israel, saying they stand to gain maximum benefits from acts similar to Beirut terrorist attacks. “There is no doubt that the United States and the Zionist regime gain maximum interests from this type of operation, as they have been dreaming of creating chaotic conditions in Lebanon and sowing the seeds of discord among the Muslims,” said Ali Larijani. Some other Iranian officials as well as the foreign ministry accused Israel of masterminding the attack that targeted Iran's embassy./end
