Swedish-Polish-Venezuelan FMs To Visit Tehran

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA – The deputy foreign minister for Euro-American affairs said that the Polish, Swedish and Venezuelan foreign minister are to visit Tehran soon to explore ways of promoting bilateral ties with Iran. Talking to IRNA Saturday, Majid Takht-e Ravanchi added that Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt will arrive in the capital on January 3. He further noted that the 11th government’s policy of interaction and the country’s success in international relationship drew the attention of the European states’ political officials and foreign ministers. Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski is slated to visit Tehran during February 28-March 2, he said. Elsewhere in his remarks, Takht-e Ravanchi, a member of Iran’s nuclear negotiating team, pointed to his recent ten-day visit to several Latin American countries and said that during the visits, he discussed, in addition to political issues, avenues for boosting economic cooperation with senior Venezuelan, Bolivian and Cuban officials. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elias Jaua will arrive in Iran on March 2, he said, adding that the country’s president will also pay an official visit to Tehran in the next Iranian year (start March 21)./end
