Swiss Envoy Hails High Turnout In Iran Election

Tehran, July 3, IRNA – The outgoing Swiss Ambassador to Iran Livia Leu Agost described the high turnout of the Iranian nation in the June 14 presidential elections as wonderful and excellent. She made the remarks in a meeting with the Secretary-General of Iranˈs High Council for Human Rights Mohammad Javad Larijani to follow up the upcoming bilateral human rights meeting. She reiterated that the result of the election created waves of happiness among the nation, stressing that the election was of valuable international outcomes. Larijani, for his part, said that the source of US hostility towards Iran in the past three decades is Washington’s expansionist and unilateral policies.
