Symbolic Anti-global Arrogance Bell Rings In Iranian Schools

Tehran, Oct 31, IRNA – The symbolic ‘anti-global arrogance’ bell was rang in the 52,000 Iranian schools nationwide Wednesday morning on the eve of the upcoming national ‘Student Day’ (November 3). The symbolic bell was rang by Minister of Education Hamid-Reza Haji Babaee who attended a girls secondary school in Tehran. Iranians celebrate November 3rd each year as the national ‘Student Day’ by staging nationwide rallies in the memory of Martyr Hossein Fahmideh, a 13-year old war hero who sacrificed his life to defend his country during the early days of the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war against Iran. He became a war icon after being declared an Iranian national hero by Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini./end
