Syria’s opposition representatives ready to continue dialogue with Damascus

MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. The Syrian opposition is ready to continue dialogue with the government of the country, in spite of the fact that the two sides have failed to achieve a breakthrough during the consultations in Moscow, representatives of different opposition groups of Syria said on Friday. "We are ready to continue talking with the government, if they meet us halfway," one of the leaders of the Democratic Tribune of Syria movement Samir Aita told TASS. "However, it’s necessary to prepare for the next meeting more carefully so that the results were better than this time." "I think in general the opposition benefited from the meeting, it managed to agree on a common stand in the discussions with the government," he said. Leader of the Syrian Popular Front for Change and Liberation Qadri Jamil too pointed to the need to continue the dialogue. "We are the fighters, we have no intention of stopping, we will continue searching for ways of the political settlement. It’s the only option," he said. Read more
