Syrians should determine their own future: Senior MP

Tehran, March 12, IRNA – Syrian people themselves should decide for their future, Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Wednesday. He made the remarks while addressing the Friends of Syria Conference. He criticized foreign interventions in Syria and expressed hope that the Syrian nation could determine their future in a free democratic election. Friends of Syria Conference started in the presence of heads of parliamentary foreign policy commissions of Iran, Algiers, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Russia to review ways to cease bloodshed and violation of human rights in Syria. Resolutions of the Syrian crisis through diplomacy and immediate end to violation of human rights are the main topics of the gathering.
