Taliban ready to visit Moscow once again - spokesman

DOHA, July 25. /TASS/. The Taliban movement (outlawed in Russia) believes that it is necessary to make another visit to Moscow because Russia seeks to facilitate efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan, Spokesman for the Taliban’s Qatar office Mohammad Sohail Shaheen said in an interview with TASS. "I hope Russia will continue to play this role in the future as well," he said. "I think there is a need for peace reasons. Of course, we will visit Moscow, as they play a role and they want to help peace in our country. So far, we have not been invited. When we are invited, I think our answer will be positive," Shaheen added. A delegation of the Taliban’s political office has visited Moscow three times. The last visit took place in late May, when the delegation participated in an intra-Afghan conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan.
