Tarbosaurus Bataar museum opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A temporary museum named "I am home" of a fossil skeleton of Tarbosaurus Bataar has opened on the Sukhbaatar square. Present at an opening ceremony last Saturday were P.Tsagaan, the head of the Presidential Office; Ts.Oyungerel, the Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Ms Piper Anne Wind Campbell, the US Ambassador to Mongolia; and other officials. If Mongolians sometimes were losing pieces of heritage, now the time has come when they are obtaining them back," Mr Tsagaan said and sincerely thanked all paleontological experts, scientists, lawyers, companies, and reporters of Mongolia, USA, Canada, Russia and China who made great contribution to repatriating the 70-million-year Bataar, and then grant6ed them the Honorary certificate named after the Prime Minister. The museum will be open until September 15. In the first month, it will be free for the public, then the ticket will be MNT 1,000 for adults and MNT 500 for children.
