Tehran, Beijing Can Play Significant Role To Restore Regional Stability

Tehran, July 8, IRNA – Co-chairman of Iran-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Hossein Sobhani-nia said on Monday that Tehran and Beijing can play significant role to restore stability of the region. The MP made the remarks in a meeting with the new Chinese Ambassador to Tehran Pang Sen. Cooperation between Iran and China as two leading powers in Asia would help restore stability and tranquility in the sensitive Middle East region, he said. Restoration of stability and tranquility in the Middle East region is of prime importance, he said. Sobhani-nia highlighted the significant role of parliaments in broadening political and economic relations and cooperation between the two countries. The two countries parliamentary friendship groups can help expand cooperation and remove barriers on the way of economic cooperation, he said. Ties between Iran and China are excellent, durable and developing, he said and called for benefiting from capabilities of the two countries to broaden cooperation in all areas, Sobhani-nia said. The Chinese ambassador, for his part described Iran as a very powerful country in the region as well as in the globe and said that the Iranian and Chinese leaders are determined to further broaden cooperation and relations between the two nations which leave positive impacts on the entire region. Silk Road is manifestation of good and long-lasting cooperation between the two nations which provides good opportunities for both sides, he said. Role of parliaments in broadening ties and cooperation between the two countries is very remarkable, said the Chinese ambassador.
