Tehran hosts int'l confab on impacts of sanctions on human rights

Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA – The International conference on impacts of economic sanctions on human rights opened here on Monday. Some 18 human rights experts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are attending the two-day international event. Meanwhile, Vice-President for Legal Affairs Elham Aminzadeh and Head of Human Rights Commission of the Judiciary Mohammad Javad Larijani are to address the opening ceremony. Several experts from France and Sudan as well as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) are also attending the event. OIC has formed permanent and independent commission on human rights in the year 2011 to foster international cooperation on human rights issues./end
