Tehran, Islamabad have common views on intl. issues: Pakistani Senate chairman

TEHRAN,Aug.6(MNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan share common views on international issues, Pakistani Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said during in speech to the Iranian parliament on Sunday. Bukhari emphasized the importance of Tehran-Islamabad relations and said that the cooperation between the two countries in international and regional arenas is close. Pakistan attaches high significance to its ties with the Islamic Republic, Bukhari said, adding that the two countries share cultural affinities and have great potential which should be utilized to increase cooperation in all spheres. Commenting on the campaign against terrorism, Bukhari said that Iran and Pakistan, as victims of terrorism, are determined to make every effort to eliminate all forms of terror. He also emphasized that both Iran and Pakistan play pivotal roles in the developments occurring in the region. Bukhari also met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Sunday and held talks on various issues, including bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region and the world. Bukhari arrived in Tehran on Thursday for a four-day visit.
