Tehran-Moscow ‘strategic ties’ will benefit the region: Iran

TEHRAN, June 9 (MNA) – Iran’s Supreme national Security Council chief Saeed Jalili said that strategic relations between Tehran and Moscow will serve the interests of the region. “The strategic cooperation between Tehran and Moscow has the potential to adjust the balance of power in favor of the interests of regional nations,” Jalili told Russian Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev in Saint Petersburg on Thursday, Jalili added, “Iran-Russia constructive interaction will promote the security and stability of the region.” Patrushev also said that recent developments in the world have increased the necessity for further consultations and cooperation between the two countries.
