Tehran's legal conference achievements presented to UN

New York, Oct 29, IRNA – Achievements of Tehran's Legal Conference was explained in the gathering of diplomats and legal experts in the UN headquarters in New York. Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi, who was chairman of the 53rd meeting of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) held in Tehran, stressed necessity of playing a bigger role by developing countries in creating norms in international law and called on Asian and African states to have more interactions to create a balance in the process of making international laws. The DyFM underlined necessity of considering legal aspects of confrontation against radicalism, violence and terrorism and by referring to the resolution approved in Tehran's meeting said that priority of the issue in international level is undeniable and cooperation of all countries in this concern is necessary. He also called on paying more attention to necessity of taking development-oriented approaches in the field of international law, as well as issues which are emerging in the international law such as cybernetics which he asked to be included on the agenda of the AALCO. The United Nations holds annual meetings in the presence of legal consultants of the member countries and international organizations dubbed 'Week of International Law.'/end
