Terrorism, Result Of Wrong Mideast Policies: Spokeswoman

Tehran, Oct 12, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said the sinister wave of terrorism in Iraq and the whole region is an outcome of the wrong policies practiced by big powers in the past. She made the remarks here on Sunday in reaction to the news of terrorist attacks in Iraq on Saturday which claimed lives of scores of civilians. Afkham vigorously condemned the terrorist explosions. Continuation of terrorist attacks is the result of instrumental use of this evil phenomenon, she said. She also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims of the terrorist acts and hoped the Iraqi nation and government would overcome terrorism by maintaining unity and national sovereignty./end
