Thai PM hails 7th Mekong - Japan Summit

BANGKOK, July 5 (TNA) – Thailand’s Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha has hailed the 7th Mekong – Japan Summit which ended in Tokyo on Saturday, especially the signing of a memorandum of intent on the joint development of Myanmar’s Dawei Deep Seaport between Japan, Thailand and Myanmar. Gen. Prayut arrived home from Tokyo late Saturday said that he also met Japanese investors on the sidelines of the Summit in which the investors were willing to invest in Thailand which is centrally located in Asia. Japan has decided to buy more Thai agricultural products and meat and the Thai government will establish a committee to oversee it with an aim to further develop the goods so that it could fetch a higher prices.
