Thai PM to visit Sri Lanka, Bhutan

BANGKOK, July 11 (TNA) –Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha will pay official visits to Sri Lanka and Bhutan this month, said Lt Gen Weerachon Sukondhapatipak, a deputy government spokesman. The Thai Prime Minister will visit Sri Lanka between July 12-13 with an aim to develop relations between the two countries into the economic, strategic partners through signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). In this regard, Thailand is expected to open FTA negotiation with Sri Lanka. The Thai leader is also scheduled to visit Bhutan next week from July 19-20 to strengthen relations between the two countries in all aspects, particularly in trade, investment, tourism, public health and the country’s development.
