Thai private sector to help seek political resolve Monday

BANGKOK, December 8 (TNA) - Seven of Thailand’s private-run business organizations, including members of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the Federation of Thai Industries and the Thai Bankers’ Association, will meet on Monday to discuss ways to end Thailand’s worst political crisis since 2010. Paiboon Nalinthrangkun, chairman of Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations, said on Sunday dialogue through a mediator was necessary at this stage to resolve the ongoing conflict. Paiboon also offered to host a open forum for academics and the general public to talk up the chances of a quick resolution. Meanwhile, the management at Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport announced today for passengers to spare at least four hours prior to flight departure time, and to consider using its Airport Rail Link service, to avoid traffic on Monday due to protests in Bangkok.
