Thai Religious Leader Appreciates Iranˈs Position Among Muslims

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 4, IRNA – Leader of the Muslims in Thailand, Asis Pitakkumpol (Abdul Aziz Bin Ismail) said Iran has special position among the Islamic nations. The religious leader made the remark in a meeting with Iranˈs Ambassador to Thailand Hossein Kamalian. He said the Thai Muslims are ready to expand ties with their Iranian brothers. The Iranian envoy, too, called for fostering bilateral relations with Thailand in the field of Islamic research./end
