Thailand, Cambodia agree to solve problems along border

BANGKOK, May 29 (TNA) - A regional meeting between Cambodia and Thailand has agreed to jointly solve problems prevailing along the border of the two countries. The 24th meeting of Thai-Cambodian Regional Border Committee (RBC) ended Friday at a hotel in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province. The two-day meeting was jointly chaired by Cambodia’s 5th Military Region Commander Gen. Bun Seng and Lieutenant General Theppong Tippayachan, commander of Thailand’s First Army Region. Military personnel of the two countries will patrol along the border to prevent illegal logging, strengthening cooperation in suppressing drug and human trafficking, and transnational crime. Both sides also agreed to lay out measures to prevent wastes dumping into canals at the border. (TNA)
