Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina sign readmission agreement

ANKARA (A.A) - February 15, 2012 - Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina signed on Wednesday a readmission agreement on cooperation in fight against illegal migration and organized crime gangs. Turkish Minister of Interior Idris Naim Sahin met with Bosnia-Herzegovina's Minister of Security Sadik Ahmedovich in Ankara. Sahin said that Turkey attached a special importance to Bosnia-Herzegovina, stating that Turkey always supported and would keep assisting the country. Countries could not fight against terrorism and organized crime gangs on their own, and there was need to counter them with an international cooperation, he said. "There is need for intelligence sharing and cooperation in several areas," he said. The readmission agreement showed common will of the two countries, boosting the cooperation in fight against illegal migration, he said. Ahmedovich said the agreement would be the symbol of the enhancing relations between the two countries. This agreement showed that Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina were ready to fight against human trafficking in the international platform, Ahmedovich said.
