Turkey Regards Iranˈs Success In Nuclear Talks As Its Own

Tehran, March 11, IRNA – Turkey regards Iranˈs success in the course of negotiations with the sextet over its nuclear program as its own, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Feridun Cinislioglu said on Monday. Cinislioglu made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran. Cinislioglu and Zarif discussed issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional and international developments. The Turkish diplomat said that expansion of ties between Iran and Turkey as two influential countries in the region would help the maintenance of regional stability and security. Zarif, for his part said that exchange of visits between top-ranking officials of both countries, particularly a recent visit to Tehran by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicated the resolve of the two nations to enhance relations in all areas. Zarif called for bilateral cooperation in fight against terrorism and extremism. Zarif said that Iran and Turkey share views on a wide range of regional and international issues, calling on both governments to make use of existing capacities to help resolve regional crises./end
