Turkish Ambassador: Our relations will expand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey Murat Karagoz gave information Wednesday on the events that will take place in the Mongol-Turkish relations in the near future. Referring to the celebration of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Mr Karagoz stressed that the past year was a productive period of the Mongolian-Turkish relations. This year we will see several official visits and activities that can enhance the relations between our countries, for instance, the first visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu from April 11 to 13, during which he is to discuss issues of politics, economics, security and culture with some government officials, and pay courtesy calls on three main leaders of Mongolia, he said. The Foreign Minister will also visit on April 12 Kharkhorin soum to view the Buddhist monastery and Erdenezuu museum. According to the Ambassador, the Minister of Construction and Urban Development of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar will visit Turkey on this April 19-22 to take part in the World Summit in Istanbul and to exchange views on economic cooperation with representatives of the Turkish construction companies. On the occasion of the Feast of Children, celebrated on April 23 in Turkey, the Turkish Embassy will organize a meeting here for pupils of the fifth secondary school named after K.M.Ataturk. "Thirteen best students from this school will go on tour through Turkey on April 15-23, visiting an international high school in Istanbul," said the Ambassador. Moreover, Turkey will mark on April 24 the 100th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Gallipoli Peninsula. “We celebrate the event widely here with our citizens," M Karagoz said. The Mongolian Defense Minister Ts.Tsolmon will pay a visit to Turkey this May, and, in June, an annual event–"Days of Turkish Culture"--will run in Ulaanbaatar, he concluded.
