Turkish Cypriot president says property issue discussed

LEFKOSA (A.A) – February 21, 2012 - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Dervis Eroglu said they discussed property issue in the meeting with the Greek Cypriot administration Demetris Christofias in Lefkosa within the scope of Cyprus talks on Tuesday. Eroglu said that since the beginning, Christofias has insisted that he needed to know how much territory he would possess, stating that territory and map were the topics that would be discussed the last of Cyprus talks. UN experts on property have been continuing their talks with negotiation delegation, he said. The meeting took place at the residence of UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Cyprus Lisa Buttenheim at the buffer zone. The meeting was attended by Buttenheim and UN Secretary General's Special Advisor on Cyprus Alexander Downer. The next scheduled meeting of Eroglu and Christofias will take place on February 28.
