Turkish deputy premier says Turkey would always be beside TRNC

GIRNE (A.A) – November 26, 2011 – Turkish deputy premier said on Saturday that Turkey would always be beside Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Besir Atalay delivered a speech at the 5th Organized Industrial Zone Energy Summit in Girne city of TRNC. Turkey would always assist TRNC in its political and economic development, he said. Atalay said that he would also attend a meeting of Investment Consultative Council in TRNC and discuss the ways to boost investments. Turkish Cypriot tourism sector achieved important successes in 2011 and TRNC has also become a brand in higher education in the world, he said.  TRNC Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk said that despite economic problems in Europe, TRNC economy continued to grow. "It is estimated that the economy will grow by 5 percent in 2012," he added.
