Turkish Envoy: Diplomacy, Only Solution To Iran’s Nuclear Issue

Ankara, Dec 11, IRNA – Turkey’s Ambassador to Washington Namik Tan said given the sensitive conditions in the region, diplomacy and dialog are the only solutions to Iran’s nuclear problem. Speaking with the Turkey’s newspaper “Today’s Zaman”, the ambassador, referring to his country’s commitment to UN Security Council resolutions, said Iran is a neighbor of Turkey. He added Turkey advocates a Middle East free of nuclear arms. Tan also emphasized that Turkey is seeking good relations with Iran, its eastern neighbor. /end
