Turkish EU minister receives Portuguese ambassador

ANKARA (A.A) - February 27, 2012 - Turkey's European Union Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU accession talks Egemen Bagis received Portuguese Ambassador in Ankara Luisa Bastos de Almeida in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday. Bagis said that Almeida, who was appointed chief advisor to Portugal's president, made a farewell visit to him. Bagis said that Almeida would also contribute to improvement of Turkey-Portugal relations as a chief advisor to the president. Almeida said that Turkey was a fascinating and interesting country with its history and economy, stating that she was very glad to serve in Turkey.
