Turkish FM meets with vice-president

Tehran, Dec 18, IRNA -- Turkish Foreign Minister Mawlood Jawish Oglu conferred on Wednesday with Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri on issues of mutual interest. Turkish foreign minister arrived in Tehran for a one-day visit. In his first visit to Iran after taking office, the Turkish foreign minister met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and discussed issues of mutual interests along with the regional developments. Zarif told the Turkish foreign minister that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects the Turkish government to cooperate with the international community in campaign against terrorism. After the meeting, the Turkish foreign minister took part in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart and answered to the questions posed by reporters on regional developments. The Turkish foreign minister is to confer with President Hassan Rouhani and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on issues of mutual, regional and international developments./end
