Turkish parliament speaker meets Czech deputy chairman of senate

PRAGUE (A.A) - November 21, 2011 - Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek on Monday met Premysl Sobotka, deputy chairman of the Czech Senate, in Prague. Cicek said that Czech Republic always supported Turkey's EU membership bid, adding that trade volume between Turkey and Czech Republic was nearly two billion USD. Cicek and accompanying delegation also attended a luncheon hosted by Sobotka in their honor.  Earlier in the day, Cicek, who is paying a visit to Czech capital Prague, met Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas as well as Miroslava Nemcova, speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament. Cicek will also visit Turkology Department at Charles University and meet Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg.
