Turkish premier hopes Greece will recover soon

CANNES (A.A) - November 3, 2011 - Turkey's prime minister expressed hope on Thursday that Greece would recover from economic crisis soon. Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said there were serious economic problems in Greece and Italy, and Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou was on the eve of a decision. "Right now, I do not know what the parties are thinking but we can see everything more clearly in following sessions," Erdogan told reporters in Cannes, France on the sidelines of G-20 summit. Erdogan said Turkey's view would become more clear in the following sessions, and expressed hope that Greece would recover from economic crisis soon.  On French President Nicolas Sarkozy's and German Chancellor Angela Merkel's remarks regarding the economic crisis in Greece, Erdogan said, "all of them are in Euro zone and EU member states. Those who have not admitted us in the EU should think about it." Ahead of the G-20 summit, Sarkozy set forth its final opinion to Greece, and said France and Germany were ready to help Greece, however Greece should fulfil its own responsibilities and should decide whether or not it would continue using Euro.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the result of the referendum to take place in Greece could determine whether or not Greece would continue using the EU monetary unit.
