Turkish Red Crescent erects 2,100 tents in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (A.A) - March 4, 2012 - Turkish Red Crescent Aid Organization erected 2,100 tents in Mogadishu to help Somali people's lodging. Many Turkish organizations and civil society institutions are doing their best to help the famine and drought stricken Somali people. Turkish Red Crescent's tents provided lodging to 13,000 Somali people. The aid organization has also taught the Somali people how to make and bake bread. Thanks to a well opened by the Turkish Red Crescent, residents of Mogadishu now have potable water.
