Turmoil in Iran backed by foreign source: MP

Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker said on Tuesday that certain foreigners are the source of turmoil in the country. Abbas Golroo, a member of the Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, made the remarks while speaking to IRNA in an interview. Whenever the enemies feel that the Iranian nation is on the path of progress, they try to impede the progress of the country, the parliamentarian noted. He went on to say that they are after jeopardizing the national interests of Iran. During the past years, they have been constructing different scenarios against the Islamic Republic but have failed every single time, he stressed. As he underlined, the plan for the unrest in Iran is made from outside the country because the enemies do not want to witness a powerful Iran in the region. Referring to the increase in the level of Iran’s economic interactions with the regional states and the country’s strategic agreements with China and Russia, the lawmaker said the expansion of Tehran’s relations in the world and the region has worried Washington and led the American officials to use any tool to isolate Iran.
