Turning to terrorist groups is new U.S. strategy: Iranian general

TEHRAN,Oct.1(MNA) – The chief of the general staff of Iran’s armed forces said that turning to terrorist groups, such as the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) and Al-Qaeda, is the new strategy of the United States to continue “low-cost wars” in the Muslim world in the current situation that it is faced with economic problems. Major General Hassan Firouzabadi made the remarks on Sunday in reference to the U.S. decision to remove the MKO from its list of terrorist organizations.
